IHI backs 20 mile per hour speed limit
ihateironing was recently approached by ITV to comment on the proposed speed restrictions in central London. Our CEO Matt Connelly released the following statement on the matter:
“With more than 60 drivers delivering to ihateironing customers at any one time, we are acutely aware of the risk that one of those drivers could be involved in a road traffic accident and injure themselves or others.There is nothing more important than minimising these risks and the importance of safe and respectful driving is a key component of our Driver Training Programme.While the ITV journalists wanted to focus on the cost implications of a reduced speed limit, we at ihateironing believe that financial consideration must always be secondary to any initiatives that help to reduce injuries and save lives.ihateironing fully supports TFL’s initiative to reduce the speed limit on red routes to 20 miles per hour.”
